SURVIVORS
John is survived by his second wife Rosa Oliver Castro Perv, his daughter Leah and her husband Chris Doak, son Jacob and his wife Amanda Parvu, older brother Ron and his wife Karen Parvu, younger brother Mark and his wife Tammy Parvu, his 7 grand-children, Cyrus, Ivan, Darius and Anaya Parvu. Ana, Isa and Abel Doak. John has many nieces and nephews both blood related and by marriage to Kim Reed (1971 - 1999) and Rosa Oliver Castro Perv (2004-2024).

Brief History

Born on Saturday,
June 28, 1947
John was born to John Perv (age 24) and Geneva Perv (age 21). He was the second son of John and Geneva after his older brother Ronald Parvu (age 5).
Welcoming a New Brother! 1950
In 1950 John and his family were delighted to welcome his new brother Mark. The addition of Mark would complete their immediate family.
John's family, were and are predominantly practicing Jehovah's Witnesses. John was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1961 (age 14).

High School Graduation 1965
John attended Kenmore High School in Kenmore, OH, He was a member of the Art Club and Year Book Committee. He graduated 1965 at the age of 18.
Working, working, working...
John worked as a commercial artist in the marketing department for O'Niel's Department Store. John also worked as a luthier, commercial cooking parts specialist and owned his own business as an auto interior repairman until he retired in 2004.
John was a full time minister of the bible in the late 1960's. He was able to travel the South Pacific on a theocratic themed trip with his brother Mark in 1969. He served as an Elder in the congregation for many years.

First Marriage, 1971
John (age 24) married Kimberlee Ann Parker (age 21) on Saturday, July 17, 1971. The two loved traveling and visited many beautiful locations such as Bermuda, Fiji and Tahiti before the birth of their first child.
First Born Daughter - Leah
John and Kim were overjoyed to welcome their first-born child, a daughter. Leah Alexcia Perv (Doak) was born on Saturday, May 31, 1975. Leah would enjoy the status as the first child for 5 years until her only brother would make his debut.
John & Kim completed their immediate family with the addition of their only son, John Jacob Alexander Perv (Parvu), born on Thursday, February 14, 1980.

Daughter's Marriage, 1997
At age 50, John happily welcomed a new son-in-law, Chris Doak to the family when his daughter Leah wed Christopher Doak on Saturday, May 24, 1997.
Son's Marriage, 1999
John was very happy to celebrate yet another marriage, that of his son's and new daughter-in-law, Amanda Michelle Toro on Saturday, April 3, 1999.
John had seven grandchildren born from August 30, 2000 through November 1, 2012. (Listed in age order) Cyrus Jacob Parvu, Ivan Victor Parvu, Darius Rourke Parvu, Ana Keverly Doak, Anaya Jael Parvu, Isa Danny-Rae Doak and Abel Javid Doak (Gus).

Second Marriage, 2004
At age 57, John married Rosa Oliver Castro. They were married Saturday, May 22, 2004 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in New Smyrna Beach, FL.
Vieques, PR - 2004
John and Rosa commenced married life in Vieques Puerto Rico and enjoyed a rich life surrounded by family and friends. John loved the islands and the tropics his entire life, so it was with immense satisfaction that he was able to finally realize that life-long dream
John's father passed away in 2002. Subsequently, his mother was widowed, living alone in Lake Placid, FL. By 2010 John and Rosa decided to leave Puerto Rico in order to be closer to John's mother. There John and Rosa cared for Geneva until her passing on August 12, 2016. John, like all of us, loved Geneva dearly.

The Final Chapter, 2024
After his mother's passing John and Rosa stayed in Lake Placid, FL for a number of years, living briefly in a cozy log cabin near a beautiful lake. It was during this time that John's health began to decline greatly. They made a decision to move closer to Rosa's daughter and son-in-law Gina and Kurt Quasny in Morris, IL. After a brief time in Morris, IL, John's health began to rapidly decline until he passed peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, July 9, 2024.
John's wife Rosa worked tirelessly to care for his needs and they enjoyed the generous support of Gina and Kurt right to the end. John's children were able to visit him prior to his death and enjoy one of John's favorite past times - reminiscing about good times, playing guitars and singing songs together. John was loved dearly by his family, all of whom are comforted by the hope the bible holds out for mankind, that we will see him again in the near future.

Final Resting Place
John Jr. is laid to rest by his parents, John and Geneva, at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Lake Placid, FL.
